- The Blue Mountain Lodge is at the end of Cliff Road, Linden, VA 22642-5123
- You should use the first set of written directions at the VWS website which is the slightly longer (+1.3 mi) but less rugged than the 'obvious' shortcut at Indian Lookout Way (the radio towers). The "Highway 50" directions are even longer.
- You can see the route from Rt66, through Linden to the lodge written or drawn, or if you are adventurous, try Mapquest.

From Washington, DC (Via Interstate 66) ; rendezvous @08 Sat. @ OES
A. DRIVE west on I-66 (toward Front Royal).
B. EXIT Ramp at mm18 = Markham (Rt 688(s)).
C. TURN LEFT, under I-66, and travel about 1/10 mile to stop sign.
D. TURN RIGHT (at the stop sign) onto Highway 55-West.
E. DRIVE about 4.4 miles to the town of Linden. (post office, intersection, Small grocery store)
F. TURN RIGHT onto Rt 638(n) (Freezeland Road.)
G. SET your trip odometer to 0.0 at this intersection: Hwy 55 and Rt 638(n) (Freezeland Road.)
0.0 START: Intersection Highway 55 and Rt 638(n) (Freezeland Road.)
1.0 CAUTION: Dangerous (blind) hairpin turn to the right to stay on Rt 638.

SSB: 1800Z August 21 to 0600Z August 22, 2010 (Third full weekend in August)
5.b. Multi-Operator Two-Transmitter:
- 1) More than one person performs transmitting, receiving and logging functions, etc.
- 2) A maximum of two transmitted signals at any given time, each on a different band. Both transmitters may work any and all stations.
- 3) Shall keep a separate log for each transmitter.
- 4) Each transmitter must have at least 10 minutes between band changes.
- 5) May operate for the entire 12 hours of the contest.
6. Output power must be limited to 100 watts (or less)
7. SSB only
8. Bands: 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 meters only. You may work a station once per band. Sugg. 1865, 3850, 7225, 14250, 21300, 28500 kHz (28450 for Novice/Tech). Respect the DX window of 1830-1840 kHz.
10. Exchange: Operator name and station location (state).
11. Multipliers: N.Am. only. Others count only as QSO.
12. Valid Contact: complete, correct, and legibly logged two-way exchange between a North American station and any other station, with UTC & band. Only 1 call sign per station operator.
